I've been contemplating this wiring instead of swapping the whole 97 cobra wiring into my car
Save your self about a thousand dollars and use the wiring you have. The donor car runs right now correct. Also the wiring from a SN95 car lays in a fox like a glove.

True. If you have the existing wiring, use it. I didn't, therefore i went this route instead. By the time I would have aquired all the different needed harnesses I would have spent at least $600-800. Spending just shy of $900 was not bad for me considering they "wire dieted," included the different 60# injector connectors, and labeled every last wire for ease of install. Once I get done with our home remodel Ill post up updates and pics...

I opted for the aftermarket wiring harness as well. I dont want the new dash do the wiring harness save me a lot of time. The Ron francis is the better one IMO. My buddies car we put the computer under the rear seat.

Yup my cobra donor car runs and drives good, I just hate to use the newer dash in mine and change the whole interior out. How hard is it to use the cobra wiring and keep the stock fox dash, cluster and column?

Took me about 4 hours to cut and install my dash by myself. I like the look of a SN95 interior in a fox but it all comes down to personal opinion. I had originally thought i was gonna use my dash and just change all the connectors on the cobra harness to all fox connectors, so basically i would have a cobra harness but with fox body connectors to all the ignition, hvac, yada yada, but i got a good deal on a dash and console so i said what the hell and changed it glad i did in my opinion. Svt Fox runs a stock dash and cluster but he had a wiring harness made for his car.

I didn't have a harness made, I had a stock (96GT) harness adapted to work with my Fox harness, plug and play.

Be prepared to wait about 4-6 weeks for the harness though... They make them from scratch. Also make sure to specify what fuel injectors you'll be running. There are a couple of types of connectors. Its no big deal though... They make piggyback adapters. It'll just save you a few bucks in the end.

This is strictly an engine harness... You'll have to tap into your cluster and make it work. Yes it is possible. Another board member, can't remember off the top of my head, wired his in...
