My name is Chris and I'm from New Jersey and I just bought a 1996 mustang with a 2003 mach 1 drivetrain already swapped into it, but the body is terrible condition, so I hope to swap it into my 1986 mustang. Hope everyone can give me a hand with it, I think it has the stock 2003 k member, and rear, along with full interior which don't want to swap over.

Hi Chris. Welcome to the party. Make yourself at home. It is always nice to have another four eyed fox on the board.

Thanks guys, I didn't really take many picture of the donor car, but here's the one I have and my fox that it's going in. One question for you guys if anyone knows, did the 2003 mach 1 come with an aluminum driveshaft?20130517_135714.jpg 20140621_170747.jpg

The short answer is no, not from the factory. However, they were available through FRPP and some were installed as dealer options. Are you looking for one, or do you have one you want to identify?

It came with one so I was just curious as to whether I got a little bonus, which it seems I did. I'll get some picture of it and the rest later and try to post them by tomorrow.

It is always nice to get a bonus like an aluminum drive shaft. :)

20140624_185257.jpg 20140624_185347.jpg Ok so this was the only type of marking that was on the driveshaft that I could find, it starts with q2m2 if that means anything to anyone. Also got a 3 point strut tower brace and more.

20140624_185627.jpg 20140624_185644.jpg Tremec 3650 transmission, which I found out while removing it is huge, along with a steeda triax short throw was also a nice bonus to add to the x pipe and the aluminum driveshaft.

I've noticed a few other add-ons such as adjustable upper control arms, caster camber plates, bumpsteer kit.
I'm also going to sandblast and powdercoat a fuel door that came on it, shown here. I need some opinions on what color would look best with a dark shadow gray mach 1. Other than that, the engine should be out tomorrow or the next day.

Really nice parts car. The SLP Loudmouth is obnoxious, but the x-pipe is a nice piece.

I want to go american thunder, but I want to hear it in person first to be sure. Also found an older model viper alarm system today.

So no pictures, but got pretty much everything out except the dash wiring. Can any of you tell me what the wiring harness coming in the driver's side fender through the firewall is?
