New Fuel Pump Quit

My fuel pump went out while i was sitting in traffic the other day. It was a nightmare. We got the car home on a trailer and replaced the fuel pump. I drove it for maybe 10 miles. It hesitated and sputtered a little bit when I backed it up to go to the store. Later that night I had a bad feeling so I went to try to start the car and of course it wouldn't start. I know the pump isn't working because I can't hear it prime. I changed the fuse. I don't have a relay because it's a 2.3L four cylinder with an integrated control module which I know squat about. Any ideas as to why this pump isn't working? Thanks

It could be caused by a number of things. I would start by turning the key ro run to listen for any kind of noise or whine of the fuel pump priming.

If you don't hear anything you can do a few tests using the STI (self test connecor) under the hood.

You may also try testing the EEC relay as well, because sometimes they corrode and cause issues w/ crank but no start.
