I purchased a Maximum Motorsports grip box:

  • MM K-member (with 2-point brace)
  • MM Front Control Arms
  • MM Torque-arm
  • MM Panhard Bar
  • MM XL Series Full-length Subframe Connectors
  • MM Coil-over Conversion Kits, Front and Rear
  • Coil-over springs
  • MM Caster/Camber Plates
  • MM Aluminum Rear Lower Control Arms
  • Bilstein HD series struts
  • Bilstein HD series shocks
  • MM Adjustable Rear Swaybar
  • MM Aluminum Steering rack Bushings
  • MM Solid Steering Shaft
  • MM Bumpsteer Kit (adjustable outer tie-rod ends)
  • MM Strut Tower Brace
  • MM Front Swaybar Relocation Kit
  • Front Swaybar Bushings
  • Front Swaybar End Links

So far everything above is bolted up with the excecption of the torque arm, k member, panhard bar, and rear swaybar.

I have converted the car to a hydroboost setup, and installed cobra rotors and calipers both front and rear. The car currently has a 4cyl, but I have rebuilt the 8.8 and installed it in place of the 7.5. I replaced the rear cover with one from a Mark 8.

I have a mark 8 block and B heads that will be installed once I get it fully assembled. I went w/ Manly H beam rods, Kellog Crank, and Diamond dished pistons w/ valve reliefs. Compression is 9:51

Actually, it will need to be edited again. Just waiting on Gaskets and time to finish the Eaton swap. Lideo at alternate will be tuning the car. 3 weeks until spring here!

Oh, I was under the impression that the eaton swap was already done.

If you don't mind saying, how much did the parts for the whole eaton swap run you?

Not complete yet. Started the Swap should be complete in 2-3 weeks. Grinding the knock sensor bumps is the worst part. When the snow is gone I have to drive it 6 hours from Toronto to Michigan to get it tuned. Debating to drive it or trailer it.

I picked up the entire swap for $2400.00. I am putting all new gaskets in the car and that costing about 75. I was missing the intercooler bolts and that ran about 20 bucks. Figure about $2500 (Canadian) all together. It came with a 2.8 pulley but that is too much boost (14 psi) I'm going to put a 3.4 pulley which is 10 PSI and make about 450 whp.

You guys should include what engine and body harnesses you're using. Thanks for the info.
My current project's body harness came out of a 2000 GT convertible. The rest of the harness and engine all came from the 99 Cobra donor.

My project doesnt fit in here but its a teksid in a fox. So far
Dude...your project fits perfectly here. You're starting with a bare Teksid. Most of these guys will never start with a bare block. I love the concept of the stroker kit and 14:1 on E85. That thing is gonna scream

I would love to build a 4.6, I put together plenty of 302 but for some reason I feel there's a learning curve. If you screw up a push rod your out a grand if you screw up a 4.6 you out about 3 times that.I have the Sean hyland book that tells a few combo they used to make decent power but no machine shops local will touch a mod motor .

My mashinest is willing to mess with. Theres another shop across the river that does to. All my motors but one that i've built have been push rod. I'm not afraid to try these mod motors & see how well i can do it. You shouldn't be intimidated either. Read, research and get with other guys in the know. Thats what ive done in the past & what i'm doing now. I may mess up somwher but i'll learn. Getting there is 1/2 the fun & when u hear it fire up the first time, drive & work out the bugs you'll smile. HAVE FUN!
