1981 Ttop coupe 4.6 4v swap

Did the swap a while back myself. Love every bit of it. What dash are you going with ? I couldn't source a black foxbody dash when I did it. So I put the new edge dash. My new project will be getting the fox dash in with the new edge wiring.

I will be using everything out of the sn body including the dash. I love the look of that dash.

Didn't realize how much wider the a arms stick out. So what are you doing for the fire wall where the steering column goes through? Are you going to cut out the support from the donor car and weld it in place ? Or am I jumping the gun here ?

Yes I did cut that section out of the doner stang. Had to make the hole a little bit bigger on the fox. But it lined up like it was meant to be.

Did you put the steering shaft bearing plate on the inside? I had wondered if that would work, but have not tried it.

Yes sir thats what I did. you you can see in the pic the way I cut the bracket the hydroboost and gas pedal on top of seam sealer and some welds it’s held in good

I put Mine on the inside. Its bolted on so it's removable due to me wanting to put the fox dash inside eventually. Didn't have to trim out anything from the firewall. Works great haven't had any issues.

I will have to take a close look at this. I expect to be back in build mode in about 3 months. I see several potential advantages and the pics of yours look really cool. My next build is going to be much more of a smoothed engine bay, so this might work right into that. @ Angel, do you have pics for what you did? I love to see different builds. Some of you guys have great ideas that others including me can adapt to what we are doing.

okay So tonight I got my fuel lines installed tonight. and yes fuel lines from a 1998 mustang gt will fit with Minimal modification. And that’s only because the fuel lines come through the apron close to the fire wall.
