Hey guys/gals.

Got a 89 Coupe LX. From day 1 planned on it being a drag car, with a 351/408, maybe some sort of power adder. Got my 99 GT and played around with it for 5 years learning a lot about the modular, while the 89 LX sat covered. Finally decided that I wanted the best of both worlds...Modular in a Fox coupe. June 2011, I went and picked up the Coupe and sold my 99. Dropped the motor that was in the 99 (ill detail it below), and threw a carb on it, with a MSD mod 6. I love it.

Car: 1989 LX org 4cyl aut car

Motor: 4.6 Lincoln Aviator
Big Bored by Modular Performance (not MMR)
Stock Cast crank
SVT Manley H beams with ARP 2000 bolts

Stock Livernois ported heads, with +1mm valves
Comp cams camshafts
Stock Sullivan lower intake
Holley Pro systems carb from John T @ MP
Kooks 1 3/4" LTs, 3" custom X pipe, 3" bullet dumps

Drivetrain:
Spec Alum flywheel
Spec 3 clutch
custom www.T45source.com T45, Prototype to shift at 8k
03.04 Alum driveshaft
4.56 gears
Welded stock 28 diff
Stock SN95 axles
Summit Racing Warrior R/Ts 15x4 front 15x8 rear

Suspension:
PA Racing tubular K member
UPR tubular A arms, Coil over, 150lbs springs
Lakewood 90/10s front, 50/50s rear
MM full length subframes
complete 5 lug swap
99 GT fron brakes, 99 GT rear brakes
UPR upper and lower solid adj control arms
UPR rear anti sway bar

Well that about sums it up. Had the car on the dyno...and it laid down 437rwhp NA with over 360rwtq. Its a blast to drive and very scary without proper pavement under you with the right tire combo. Currently deployed overseas and can't wait to get back and get to driving and wrenching on this thing some more. Goal with the car right now is deep 10s NA, and spray my way to the 9s.

Thanks
Matt

Ill get some pics after I get it painted and return from this deployment. Till then...all I have is a few videos..

Start up

First night at the track. Best that night was 7.1. This is the 7.3 run. Still need to iron out the suspension. Its got 6s in it NA easy. This night it was pig rich (didn't know how to jet a carb) and had shorty headers, stock front suspension (save for the k member) no rear sway bar...

This was about a month before I left for the desert. Went to florida for a local event with some friends. Car ran hard, but I didn't have any DRs, just slicks...and well those don't get traction on the street very well...esp with my race weight and power.

And this was just a week before I left. Local Mach 1 with 607rwhp built motor, heads, cams, D1 procharged...vs me..on spray. That night 540rwhp spray power...(100 shot)

Cant wait to get back.

I am impressed! Well done sir! I am in the process of following suit as we speak with the exception of carb vs. efi.
