used a 98 gt k member and was able to easily put the fox rack on and the steering shaft and 98 powersteering lines hooked right up. using hydro boost as well. havent gotten the spindles on yet. am i going to run into a problem soon with the fox rack? i dont understand why everyone says you have to use the 4.6 rack.

You can use the fox rack. The distance between the outer tie rods is one of the deciding factors, but you can mix and match components. I use the newer rack because I like the feel better. I also like the ratios. As far along as it sounds like you are, you'll do fine. I've never used that tranny setup, so I can't help there, but I'm sure you'll figure everything out. I like to use a tubular Kmember, as it gives more wiggle room for shifting the set forward and using bigger headers. Have fun with it and welcome.
