At long last I finally got a speedometer cable. The original cable was too short since it has to clear the wide 4-cam heads and reach the speed sensor at the back of the T-45. On-line I found a speedometer and instrument service shop in Milwaukee who made a custom cable for me, 100 inches in length. $76.50 plus shipping. Ordered it on September 6, arrived on the 13th, and I installed it today. My big project for next weekend is to pull the instrument cluster out far enough to connect the cable to the speedo.
