So I know it's not a fox, but it is a modular swap. I bought my '98 earlier this year (4Feb13) after I was mustangless for about 2 years. I was daily driving an Escort ZX2 I bought for $900 when the tranny blew into a million little pieces scattering across the road. By the time I bought the transmission and even installing myself, I'd have almost as much into it as I bought it for, so I convinced my wife it was Mustang time. I set up a budget, found what I could afford and went on the hunt for a '96-98 GT, as I was ready to move into the modular world. Fast forward to Early October. I'm in Texas at my little bros weddin when my dude hits me up and tells me he's tired of being lowballed for this 96 4V out of a totalled mystic he had (the mystic was a friends. He hydroplaned hit the wall, ripped the ass end apart, insurance totalled it and my buddy bought it from my other friend to part out) he told me if he was gonna get lowballed he wanted it to stay in the family (there's a group of about 5 of us who met in the navy and have pretty much swapped, traded, given and sold parts to rah other for our mustangs over the last 8 years) he asked if I wanted it. I said hell yeah! Came back to va from Texas, setup a weekend, made some calls to friends, bought lots of red meat, beer and ammo (friend lives in the country) then last weekend (15-16Nov) we yanked the 2V out and in less than 2 days successfully swapped in the 86k mile 96 Cobra engine. Here we are 5 days later and so far so good. No major issues, just needs some exhuast tightened and a tune to clean it up some. I'll add pics and update as I go, so far I'm just buttoning up loose ends from the swap.
