Boss 302 Mustang owners gather for 40th anniversary reunion

Thousands of Ford owners gathered in Southern California this weekend for the 24th annual Fabulous Fords Forever show on the grounds of the Knotts Berry farm theme park. This year, the event celebrated 50 years of the Ford Galaxie and the 70th anniversary of Mercury, but our interest was peaked with a collection of Boss 302 Mustangs, 45 in all.
The Boss 302 is the quintessential classic Mustang - aggressive styling, a high-revving 290 horsepower V8, 4-speed manual transmission, rally wheels, and a shaker hood scoop. The owners were celebrating the car's 40th year in existence, some of whom came from as far away as Canada to meet with their fellow Boss 302 enthusiasts.
The pavement was decorated with the bright, signature colors made popular by the Boss Mustangs - Grabber Orange, Grabber Blue, Bright Yellow, Calypso Coral, Wimbledon White, all of which can be seen in our high-res gallery below.
