Well this is likely to be a very long swap due to life events (we have our 3rd child due the end of july and i have a flip house im finishing up) but I am very excited for the upcoming project. I picked up the donor car in the winter for $2000 it is a 98 cobra wrecked in the front. I have been looking for a coupe car for a while now and i found "the one" last week. It's a 93 lx coupe original 5.0l 5speed car, it needs some body work but has a ton of bolt ons i can sell to off set the paint and body work price. I got the coupe for $2600. I have done a ton of work on cars over the years but i think this will be my biggest project to date. I still have many decisions to make....
Engine-
Build it all motor (port heads, intake, high comp, valves, valves spring, cams)
Supercharge it (forge bottom end, possably 03-04 heads ect)
Turbocharge it (forge bottom end)
Paint-
Comp orange
Fiji Blue
Oxford white
Black
Brakes-
sn95 brakes (5 lug)
Interior-
Stock (grey cloth)
SN95 (donor cars interior is clean, black leather)
Rear End
SN95 cobra with 373s
03-04 irs
I know im kinda everywhere with my list of options but im kinda torn. I build cars drive them a while then sell them and make a little money. Its a way to bring a little extra money home (one income house hold) and still have some fun. On this project though im torn, I have wanted to do a mod swap ever since they made the 96-98 cobra. If i was building it to keep for me i would go all motor, comp orange, sn95 interior, and irs rear. But i feel like the safest thing for resale would be supercharged or stock with bolt ons, fiji blue or white, stock inerior, and the sn95 rear end.
I would love to have any input or suggestions. I want the best bang for my buck. To build a car to enjoy for a little while but still be able to brake even or come out in the green when I go to sell it.
