Well this is likely to be a very long swap due to life events (we have our 3rd child due the end of july and i have a flip house im finishing up) but I am very excited for the upcoming project. I picked up the donor car in the winter for $2000 it is a 98 cobra wrecked in the front. I have been looking for a coupe car for a while now and i found "the one" last week. It's a 93 lx coupe original 5.0l 5speed car, it needs some body work but has a ton of bolt ons i can sell to off set the paint and body work price. I got the coupe for $2600. I have done a ton of work on cars over the years but i think this will be my biggest project to date. I still have many decisions to make....

Engine-
Build it all motor (port heads, intake, high comp, valves, valves spring, cams)
Supercharge it (forge bottom end, possably 03-04 heads ect)
Turbocharge it (forge bottom end)

Paint-
Comp orange
Fiji Blue
Oxford white
Black

Brakes-
sn95 brakes (5 lug)

Interior-
Stock (grey cloth)
SN95 (donor cars interior is clean, black leather)

Rear End
SN95 cobra with 373s
03-04 irs

I know im kinda everywhere with my list of options but im kinda torn. I build cars drive them a while then sell them and make a little money. Its a way to bring a little extra money home (one income house hold) and still have some fun. On this project though im torn, I have wanted to do a mod swap ever since they made the 96-98 cobra. If i was building it to keep for me i would go all motor, comp orange, sn95 interior, and irs rear. But i feel like the safest thing for resale would be supercharged or stock with bolt ons, fiji blue or white, stock inerior, and the sn95 rear end.

I would love to have any input or suggestions. I want the best bang for my buck. To build a car to enjoy for a little while but still be able to brake even or come out in the green when I go to sell it.

Sounds like a good jump start on your project. As far as bang for the buck, you are already 4600 in from the git go. Donor car run now? If so to save all the money you can switch everything over form the donor and run it like that then sell if need be. Dont go out and buy a bunch of after market parts that will only increase the cost. Switch all stuff, drive it, enjoy it, sell it. I have seen Mod Fox cars on the bay getting bids to around about $7500 and up. There used to be a guy on here had a fox that was procharged, sold it for around $9500 it was a nice car. So there is money to be made if its what the buyer wants.

Donor car does run. Both cars have mods and extra parts that i will be seeling that should drive the cost down.

Ok its been a while but i have finally done some ordering parts and striping of the coupe. In the process i found out the coupe came with a fairly low mileage TKO trans!!!!! It also had tons of mods. that i will have to sell soon. The car will be going to the painter in a couple of weeks, but i still dont know what color to paint it.

As far as my set up i have desided to build the car to keep so this is going to be my setup:
forged bottom end
c head swap
all parts off 03-04 cobra for eaton swap -but use a gt500 m122 blower!
trans? i was gonna go t56 but the tko i have is temping im not sure yet
03-04 irs swap

I know i will have more money in it than i wanted to but if im building a car from the grounmd up to keep its worth it to me.
