This allows the slots to go side to side instead of front to back. In doing so, you give up some ability to add positive caster. Most of the time you will be stuck with around 3.5 degrees. However, with some very minor dremel work, you can get 4.5+ degrees of negative camber (4+ degrees with no work at all). It is a low budget solution to something racers spend big money on.
