so...here it is. I have built multiple pushrod sbf, mod motors 2v and 4v,strokers even, but never had a fox with a mod...I have a radial car that I race, but its too much for the girlfriend. I always have felt like she wanted something that she could play with, and Ive been wanting a REALLY comfortable fox, so when this arose I had to do it.

A friend of mine called me last month and said that his son wrecked his 98 cobra. He didnt have the heart to see it go to the wrecking yard if it was totalled and wanted to know if I would take it and fix or "create" something useful with it. So, it began...

The car is a 1998 white on saddle with low miles. The car was raced at FFW events when the modular shootout hit the scene. Since its "retirement" it has received a 4r70w swap with a Baumann electronics TCS and an IRS from a 99-04. Here is its time to shine.

With the girlfriend not being much of a fox fan, I had to find something that tickled her fancy. She likes the GT foxes so it had to be at least a hatch. We found a white LX hatch with intentions of converting to a GT. The car was never wrecked and was a pretty good start IMO. Then I heard the dreaded words...I want a black mustang. Being as I had already done color changes, I was out on this deal. The car sat idle and I started the hunt for what I thought was the impossible...a builder mustang that was already black and maybe a GT to eliminate the molding hunt. Low and behold I found one. We went to look at the car and it definitely needed paint...ok, I expected that. I opened the door and found a black interior in decent shape! The purchase was made. This will be a slow build im sure, but I just want it to be something nice and a project we can work on together...here are some starting pics, please voice your suggestions!

For some readson the pictures did not post. I have an 87GT that started it's new lease on life with the tragic end of a 2002GT. Such a shame, but rest assure that the conversion is not that bad. I did mine on my own in just over three mounths. I did the full swap dash and all. But there area many good posts on ones that kept the Fox dash. Good luck and be sure to post any questions that you have.
