Quick question - '97 Mustang won't start

Hi, I am a new owner of a 1997 Mustang GT, 4.6 L V8. Bought it this summer and now finally have got some time to work on it. When I was buying it, I knew, that there is some minor ignition problem and that it required new spark plugs, which was okay for me, and I got really good deal on it.
Now, I installed new spark plugs, they are okay, as well as the new ignition wires. And, nothing changed! Sometimes it simply won't start. I was wondering, what else can cause non-starting?

PS - I hear the starter works okay... Maybe the fuel pump? If so, it's not that expensive if I go with an aftermarket one (link). Yet if the problem is with teh starter/alternator, that's gonna break the bank.
