SVE Drifts, 1/2 here LOL

My 18x9 SVE drifts have been on back order for 2 months and they cannot give me any answers as to when they will be available. They gave me a substantial discount today and my rims are shipping , but in silver instead of black. I will have all four painted or powder coated. I hate the rims on my car and they were always a temporary fix. I have a SN95 rear in my car so it 1.5" wider than a fox rear. These rims are 18x10 with a 7.2" backspacing and are designed to fit the 11-14 gt and Shelby's. I would have preferred 7.5 back spacing to fit a 305, but I can live with it.

Here's a shot of the rear and a comparison between old (front) and new (rear). I'm going to drop the car lower (already a 1 3/4" drop, but needs more) with the coil overs over the weekend. Tires are 285/35/18 Michelin Pilot sports.

That looks a lot better! It fills the fender well nicely too!

Any rubbing on the tailpipes?

My cousins coming up this week and bringing the rims with him. Can't wait to get all four on. Cars looking a little ghetto with the white hood and non-matching wheels.

Thanks. I have been enjoying the car all summer long. Been drag racing numerous times, made a few 12 hour trips. Car is dead reliable, easy to driver, comfortable, and just a joy to drive. Only plans are to finish the stereo install, few more gauges, and paint.

This may help others.

Rear: SN95 rear (3/4" wider per side than a fox rear) 18x10 7.25 backspacing <-------used on 05+ aftermarket rims!!! Mine are designed for an 05 GT.
Front: Fox length a-arms, SN 95 spindals, 18x9 with 5.95 backspacing <-------used on 95GT aftermarket rims

ALL fender lips must be rolled tight for clearance on front and back. no spacers required.

Car is dirty in pics, but you get the idea

Are you using 94-95 or 96-98 spindles?

I wonder if the 96 spindles will work with a 05+ offset?

The S197 offset is significantly more than the SN95. If you use an S197 wheel, you will have to space it out to where you want it.
