Have you already bought the Mark Viii motor? If not, you might consider a 2-valve PI with an aluminum block. The parts are cheaper, you'll make more power, it is a bit lighter and an easy build. Here's a link that might give you something to think about:

It uses a 99-04 GT harness, computer, headers, etc. If you are primarily drag racing it, you'll be able to do 11.8 to 1 compresson for the same price, and still turn 7000+ rpms. Don't get me wrong, the Mark Viii engine is very cool and a screemer, so I'm not trying to spook you on it...just trying to show you another option.

Sweet. Which year? If you look at Modfoxmustangs threads, he drags one. I'd say go for it.

I looked at the pic . the car is a 98 mark8 ... why couldn't he use that k member in the pic that is what i have ? (a qa1)

You can if it is set up for a mod motor. If it is, the QA1 is a fine unit for drag racing. The 98 is a great motor and trans too.
