New to the site and I though I would give you a little background. I love motor swaps and different combination of cars. I'm a firm believer of price vs performance. My latest project took me a little over a year to get running and then another 6 months to have painted.

I started with a clean 1993 LX coupe chassis

59856_479781260469_5978093_n.jpg

Found a low mileage Aviator engine with a tick in the head.

33772_482693715469_1688294_n.jpg

Repaired the head (new valve and guide)

61202_482692870469_414856_n.jpg

Grab a Mach 1 intake and cobra 6 speed and install it in the fox.

577567_10150931990715470_157870046_n.jpg

Install cobra brakes, qa1 coilover's, Sn95 rear, 4.10's and some horrid but super cheap rims (300 bucks for the rims and tires)

319355_10151103317245470_1397868566_n.jpg

Dyno tune the car and make 301 WHP, 300 TQ

547453_10151584641195470_1492661518_n.jpg

Go to the track, bog first pass, spin the second, and break the axles on the third pass

Car's slow, 4.6 sucks for low end torque. not impressed.

Build killer rear end (again with 4.10, Shelby diff, ten 31 spline axles) Add torque to engine utilizing a stock eaton SC at 9 psi

601987_10151584641560470_1424339529_n.jpg

Back to the Dyno! This time 460 WHP, 440 TQ. 400+ ft lb of torque at 2800 RPM. Now we have bottom end torque.

Install new hood to clear the blower. Back to the drag track! This time I went 11.50@122 (this vid only show 11.7 pass) Still spinning but having fun. PS I love the eaton whine.

976388_10151634095525470_181513525_o.jpg

Car performs but had no attitude. Time to make it a little menacing. Paint booth time!

Getting a little better but damn those ugly rims......

10298114_10152357197765470_4083881644939969487_o.jpg

Get some SVE drifts and have them painted Satin black instead of flat black (yes it makes a difference of 10 HP, no... really)

10451071_10152500485630470_2415810517161183493_n.jpg

Win first trophy at local car show (honestly, it made my day and it happened today)

14972_10152668493180470_5249526286518831941_n.jpg

And that pretty much summarizes my Mustang journey from the past 2 years. Nice meeting you all and I hope you dont mind my little story. the car still isn't 100% complete. I will put a forged motor in it eventually and a TVS. It will also get the engine compartment painted. I also am installing autometer gauges to replace the factory ones.

================================================================================================================================

Next project 1971 Datsun 240Z qith a 2JZ GTE vvti and 5 speed swap ! Its just getting starting! ( I will make a another thread when I got more work completed )

Nice ride! I have a low milage 05 Aviator motor as well that I will be using for my swap. I picked up a Vortech V1 S trim for some added power. Hoping to have the motor in and running yet this summer. Thanks for adding inspirational videos :)

I dont think I ever posted a final pic of the car. Here ya you. A bit sirt as I just pulled it out of storage.

Changing out the drag tires

I have to lower the rears back down (coilovers) . I had some 28" drag radials I was trying out. I'm going to 26" slick this year.

That's a really good looking coupe man I'm hoping that with 1/2 inch k-member spacers I can keep the stock hood wanna keep it sleeper as possible

I have the stock 96-98 cobra intake we mocked it without gaskets and it wouldn't fit under the stock hood
