I originally started the build buying this LX that was pretty much ready for the crusher. The car was a 4cl car that had been sitting in a field for about 6 years. Everything was pretty much garbage. All the plastics were beat form the New Mexico sun.

Here is the progress in pics

Did a Mustang 5 lug swap and put in an 8.8. Also picked up some GT wheels to roll the car around. Also replaced the windshild.

As it sits now. I decided to do the swap because I am having a few issues with the AOD and the motor has not been the most reliable. I Ended up picking up a 1998 lincoln mark viii at an auction and thought it would be a great donor car for a swap. The car had 123k miles and ran great.

I just started pulling parts off of it for the swap.

Here it sits as of today. More pics to follow as progress keeps moving.

Little update. Put in the x pipe and exhaust is all bolted in. I fixed the steering shaft issue. When pulling out the old motor it got hung up on the steering shaft and bent it. I replaced that as well.
I am not having problems with the brakes. I am thinking the master is dead. One on order and hoping that is the issue.

A couple of updates, Got the intake tube on, installed a junkyard find flowmaster cat back, worked on some more wiring clean up, cut a half a coil off the front springs, and made a mach 1 lip I had laying around work on the front. So far I have put a few miles on the car driving it around the block a few times. Running pretty good considering I still have not tuned it.

Now I want to get the a/c-heater box installed, but I need to find a way to adapt the more modern spring lock lines to the older mustang condenser o rings lines. Anyone have any success doing so?

That's what I was thinking of having done, but I thought it would be easier to find an adapter then have the tig welded. I just need to find someone with a tig welder.

The heater core I will be able to fit, its the evaporator that I am needing to adapt. I think I am going to take it to a radiator shop
