Carbed 4.6 foxbody conversion?

Has anyone done this yet? I'm considering doing this in the future using the 4.6 carb kit that Edelbrock offers part # 350-2839 for SOHC Mod engines. I'd also like to use a C4 transmisssion to a 8.8 rear end. Has anyone on here done this or somthing similar? I read where Hot Rod did this to a 4.6, but they never put it into anything. I would have to believe it would be alot less complicated than doing a complete efi conversion. You can pick up PI 4.6 SOHC engines with low miles at almost any salvage yard for less than $1400.00 minus the computer! I added some links to the Edelbrock kit and the Hot Rod article.

Me and a friend put an 03 mach1 engine into his Fox GT with a t45, we used a sullivan intake and a carb. We also used msd's 6mod box to control the spark. Worked great, got around 22mpg and ran 7.60 in the 1/8 on motor. Car weighed 2850 w/o driver. Ran 6.70's on a 125 plate kit. never ran hot or had any issues whatsoever!. Hell we actually used the old pushrod d&d tubular k member with the motor! Had to space the motor mounts 1" out from the engine in order for the oil pan to clear the k member. It sat too high but it worked, had to fab up a tranny mount. This is one of the simplest conversions I have ever done, took one complete day to convert because the car already had manual steering and brakes.
