thinking about rewiring my car with a complete harness from 96 cobra, give me some opinions, because the dizzy is busted up like a bad night at the bar. Could i just put the dash harness in my fox dash or use the cobra dash.

Im not to sure on that one but I know I read a thread on one of the forums where someone used the fox dash with a newer harness ill see if I can find it for you. Personally I would swap the dashes over to avoid as much cutting/splicing as possible. Thats what im doing for my capri swap. But im not very good at wiring though either.

89 coupe was a 4 banger car, i can get the ENTIRE HARNESS, dash, a steering column WITH key, for 150 bucks, but the dash is missing the instrument cluster, i thought i read somewhere that the cluster needed to match for PATS, please tell me im wrong lol. I am going to get it in the morning.
To eliminate the PATS does the car need to be functional or does he just need the ECU. I guess what I'm asking is can he delete the PATS through just the computer by itself. I will have the column and the keys so will I need to even do this?
I honestly dont know what the last two plugs are for, but the grey plug is in the engine bay not in the dash compartmentBased on wiring diagrams I've seen, it should not matter on the ccrm. Get the one that matches the harness would be the best. The long skinny connector would be for the newer electronic style cruise control. The one that looks like the TFI connector, I'm not sure off the top of my head, but that is part of the dash harness, correct? You don't need any of the dash harness.

Comes through firewall on drivers side right passed the big rubber seal boot and into engine bay, comes off the main harness about a foot in length. I guess im just gonna but a manual and trace the wires i will need one anyways, anyone know of the best wiring diagram manuals. Haynes and Chilton but they are kinda sloppy for the sn95 cars, the Haynes manuals are awesome for the fox body cars as far as wiring diagrams. UPDATE!!!!! Found out that the black plug in last picture is the EDIS Module, Electronic Distributorless Ignition System Module. And HOLY SHIT THESE PRICEY!!!!!!!. Read somewhere that 96 up has EDIS built in to the computer, I will be running a 97 cobra LLX4 ECU so i need to know if this is true or do i need to buy one. It's not directly attached to the "main" harness though is it? Its on one of the extensions, correct?
I honestly dont know what it is. lol just web searching on the info attempting to figure it out. I think your right Kurt, my buddies car runs a EDIS module but uses a crank trigger setup with it from what i read i think that is what it is, but i still cant find anything on the grey plug, so again im lost. Not sure where you got your info, but that is not for an EDIS module. EDIS was never used in a mustang. And never used 96+. The long skinny black connector in your pic is for the cruise control module ( with a high degree of confidence).
I wasnt doubting you, my buddies car had me thinking that the plug was for EDIS he has a 4.6 coupe also and it has EDIS-8 but like i said it runs a moroso crank trigger setup. Thanks for the helpLol. That's good to know. I was wondering about that one.
