Compression checked out good ranged from 175-200 so thats good, did have two cylinders that wasnt firing, got that fixed and drove it down the road for the first time. Felt descent on handling and brakes were great but i still had a miss at higher rpm's gonna do some more checking tomorrow. But i did clean it out and the smoking issue went away, gonna fire on again tomorrow and see if it does it again after it sets overnite, maybe carbon build up, or who knows maybe it did just need to be drove LOL thanks for the advice Svt Fox.

your blinker is going too fast. You didn't wire in the 2nd turn signal on each tail light did you? lol
Actually i did but i dont have the bulb in. How did you do the rear tails on your car bobby. The only way i could get mine to blink correctly was i had to put a bulb in the turn signal and brake light, but when i do this my turn signal lights up when i hit the brakes as well as the signal lol thats why i leave the turn signal bulb out.

Well i am pretty sure my second gear syncro is shot lol its like im grinding hamburger lol. Maybe cheaper to buy another tranny than to fix mine, those syncro kits are flippin high as groceries.

T-56 are a little hard to find but I paid 1300 for mine skipped with 12,000 mikes on it. Paid an addition 20 for a custom spring for the reverse lockout and 2.99 for the anti viper mod.

Drove the car down the road again today its still missing/cutting out on the upper RPM's Maybe i need new plugs but they are new, just put new coil packs on it, wires are good, any thoughts. But i was very surprised at how hard it pulled even though it was not running right. It should be fun when its RIGHT!!!!!

Done a little research on the web and turns out that most of my problem comes from some of the trouble codes that are going on. Gotta get some parts and try to get some of these codes gone and then we can go from there, been trying to lock down this new job. Maybe i can get back on track with the car after that.

Not really the car runs, just got some other important things to take care of. I need to find me a 5 speed tranny harness and try to get rid of some of these CEL codes.

That car was my inspiration for ditching the 5.0 route.

It really seams to me that using a system off of the explorer 5.0 with the coil packs and crank sensor would have been an easier way to go.
I wanted to retain the fuel injection which is why I didn't want to go that route. I also read that he started having engine problems with it after (quote unquote) a year or so. I think it was using oil maybe?

I am not surprised. It was a junkyard markviii engine with who knows how many miles. All he did was slap some box stock 03/04 heads on it with a carb and intake.

It did make 380+ hp and ran 10.80's. not too shabby if you ask me.

I got some of the codes gone today but still have two three codes that maybe causing the miss, One is for secondary air injection switch "A" and purge solenoid and last but not least rear O2 sensors. I think im gonna check the plugs and wires over real good and see if one or the other is causing the problem. Svt Fox suggested the rev limiter in the computer but i am running a cobra computer so i dont think that is the issue. When i drive it i get down on it in third gear and it goes to stuttering and kinda pops like it is running out of fuel or running lean. Any thoughts!!!!!
