Gonna compression test the old sled today and see whats going on, my buddy says im just being paranoid lol, I hope he is right.
Compression checked out good ranged from 175-200 so thats good, did have two cylinders that wasnt firing, got that fixed and drove it down the road for the first time. Felt descent on handling and brakes were great but i still had a miss at higher rpm's gonna do some more checking tomorrow. But i did clean it out and the smoking issue went away, gonna fire on again tomorrow and see if it does it again after it sets overnite, maybe carbon build up, or who knows maybe it did just need to be drove LOL thanks for the advice Svt Fox.
Actually i did but i dont have the bulb in. How did you do the rear tails on your car bobby. The only way i could get mine to blink correctly was i had to put a bulb in the turn signal and brake light, but when i do this my turn signal lights up when i hit the brakes as well as the signal lol thats why i leave the turn signal bulb out.your blinker is going too fast. You didn't wire in the 2nd turn signal on each tail light did you? lol
That car was my inspiration for ditching the 5.0 route.
It really seams to me that using a system off of the explorer 5.0 with the coil packs and crank sensor would have been an easier way to go.
I wanted to retain the fuel injection which is why I didn't want to go that route. I also read that he started having engine problems with it after (quote unquote) a year or so. I think it was using oil maybe?
